On-page SEO checker
Enter a page and the keyword you want it to rank for. We check every place that keyword should appear, how often it's used, and the on-page basics, then list what to change.
What it checks
Check a page for a target keyword: title, headings, content and links.
- Where the keyword appears: title (and how early), meta description, H1, subheadings, URL, opening paragraph and image alt text
- How often it's used and whether that looks natural, with close variants
- The phrases the page uses most, so you can see what it's really about
- On-page basics: title and description length, headings, word count, internal links, canonical and indexing
Frequently asked questions
What keyword density should I aim for?
There's no magic number, and Google doesn't use one. Use the keyword where it reads naturally: in the title, the main heading, early in the text and in a subheading or two. We flag very high use, because repeating a phrase unnaturally can hurt.
Why check one keyword at a time?
A page ranks best when it clearly answers one main search. Check the main keyword first; close variants and related phrases usually follow when the page covers the topic well.
The page ranks, but the checker finds problems. Should I change it?
Be careful with pages that already perform. Start with safe wins such as a missing meta description or image alt text, change one thing at a time, and watch the results in Search Console.
