Broken link checker
Enter a page and we'll test every link on it, internal and external: which work, which redirect, and which are broken. Filter the results and download them to fix in one go.
What it checks
Check every link on a page for 404s, errors and redirects.
- Every link on the page, up to 300, tested live
- Broken links: 404 and 410 pages, server errors, domains that no longer exist and links that time out
- Redirects, so you can point internal links straight at the final address
- Links that block automated checks, marked separately so you can confirm them in a browser
Frequently asked questions
Do broken links hurt SEO?
A few broken external links won't sink a page, but they frustrate visitors and waste the value a link passes. Broken internal links matter more: they can hide pages from crawlers and lose the authority you've built.
Why is a link marked as blocked?
Some sites, such as LinkedIn, refuse automated requests or show a challenge page. The link may work fine for people, so open it in a browser before changing it.
Should I fix links that redirect?
For internal links, yes: link to the final address so visitors and crawlers skip the extra hop. Redirecting external links are fine unless they end somewhere unrelated.
