What are impressions?

Each time your page appears in a user's search results, Search Console counts an impression, whether or not they scroll to it or click. Rising impressions usually mean your pages rank for more searches or rank higher.

How to use them

  • Queries with high impressions and low clicks are opportunities: improve the title and description, or the ranking.
  • Falling impressions for a page can signal content decay or lost rankings.

Frequently asked questions
