Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't Google show my meta description?
Google rewrites descriptions when it thinks another part of the page answers the search better, and it cuts them at about 920 pixels on desktop. A description that summarizes the page in a sentence or two is shown more often.
What size should my share image be?
1200 × 630 pixels works on Facebook, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp. Keep important text away from the edges, because some apps crop it.
I changed my tags. Why do old previews still show?
Social platforms cache previews. Facebook's Sharing Debugger and LinkedIn's Post Inspector refresh them; X and WhatsApp update after their cache expires.
