What are rich results?
A rich result is a search listing that shows more than a title and description. A product result might show a price and stock status; a recipe might show a rating and cooking time; an event might show dates. Google generates these from structured data that follows its documented requirements.
Why they matter
Rich results take more space and give searchers useful details before they click, which can improve click-through rate. They also require your structured data to be accurate and complete, which helps search and AI systems understand the page.
How to get them
- Pick the schema type that matches the page (Product, Event, Article…).
- Include every property Google lists as required, plus the recommended ones.
- Mark up only information that's visible on the page.
- Test the markup and fix errors.
